Thank you for the secert to this sauce. When i ate it it was like having my Daddy back making it for me like when i was little. As for the salt use to your own taste. Don't judge a receipe because it shows alot of salt. Taste is the key. If you eat out all they use is SALT SALT and more SALT. And every Italian family has there own secert receipe for making this sauce which is also called a RAGU.......

You've got to try this recipe!!! With simple ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions, you will create the finest bolognese you've ever had. If you can watch her show on it, even better. Be prepared to start five hours before you want to eat and FOLLOW THE BROWNING INSTRUCTIONS! They are crucial.

She has definatly learned a lot from Mario. I used half beef and half pork. I also used half tomato paste and half canned diced tomatoes as that was what I had on hand. I look forward to the leg of lamb! Finally a show of the air that is not geared to the "Racheal" audience, but to more "foodies". :-

I have to admit that after seeing Anne present her bolognese recipe, you wanted to rush out to the store and try it out right then! It looked authentic and she definately has a genuine and thorough approach to the cooking of the recipe......HOWEVER,......

Her incessant hand waving and "Oscar the Grouch" growling was very distracting. She almost looked as though she was trying to hide an OCD. It was uncomfortable to watch her, but you could not switch the channel because the recipe loooked way too good. The contestants on the "Next Food Network Star" seem to do better at delivering their personalities onscreen than Ann does, but they probably do not have the expertise. Can someone work with her presentation skills? I would hate to see a talented chef like her "bomb" only because she happens to be awkward in front of the camera.

This is an amazing sauce. I have been trying to make a great bolognese for years, but have had to resort to my favorite Italian restaurant every time I crave it. At first I was skeptical of adding so much water, but just keep simmering slowly, and the water boils off, leaving a thick, rich sauce with nice bold flavors. I will definitely keep this favorite in my recipe box!!

First, I have not made this yet, I am pregnant, and have NO desire to cook. HOWEVER, it does look delicious, but I just don?t know when I would have this much time to hang out in my kitchen! On the other hand, I really was annoyed by her hand waving and language. Yes, I understand she is REAL, but she doesn?t have to speak and act as if she is in high school! PLEASE ADDRESS THIS!!!! This is one show I won?t watch anymore, maybe just look up her recipes if they are not too time consuming and don?t include handfuls of salt! Then again, maybe that is why restaurants don?t have the healthiest of foods!?

Did just like Ann said and let the flavors build at each step. It' rich, but very flavorful. My husband couldn't stop raving about it.

You were educated in Italy. Surely you know to mix all three meats, pork, veal and ground sirloin? Add the tomator paste to the veggies first...Then add the veal and cover with milk. Stir until milk is evaporated...then add the other two meats and continue on as directed...Mama Mia! I was totally surprised at your recipe. Also, too much hand waving, Ann.

This recipe taste just like the bolognese found in my favorite Italian restaurant. Be sure to taste test to your personal liking before adding the salt.

Excellent! the best and most authentic Italian Bolognese sauce: smoth and silky texture. Be creative and use other types of pasta. I used cheese ravioli and my family loved it. A little bit of time consuming but is worth it.
