I'm ready to make this recipe but can someone tell me what can i used instead of champagne vinegar. Last time I checked this vinegar was quite pricey. I'd like the recipes to give us an alternative to ingredients, sometimes I can't find them in my town or they are pricey for a single person. I can't wait to make this it sounds delicioussssss. Thanks Anne I love your show! P.S.: I'll come back with an appropriate rating and let you know how it turned out.

Anne, you are sooooo right!!! These are very sexy cauliflower pickles. Absolutely delicious. I did reduce the salt to 1 tablespoon and they are perfect. I am going to keep them in my fridge since they are a delicious snack. I am also going to try the same brine with carrots. I never got to the rest of the salad recipe. Ate the pickles plain they are so good. Thanks again Chef Anne, you rock!!!!

The recipe for pickled caulifower calls for 3 tablespoons of kosher salt but turns out SO SALTY it is inedible. I even tried rinsing it and soaking in plain water to see if it could be salvaged, but the salt is still overpowering! I love pickeld veggies and couldn't wait to try making this, but I was totally disappointed. I would reduce the salt to 1 tbsp if I try it again. However, this is first time a recipe by Anne has disappointed me---she is one of my FoodTV faves!

The Pickled Cauliflower in this recipe was so incredibly salty, and I omitted 1 tablespoon when making it. It says "Taste and add salt if necessary". This recipe was so salty my cows wouldn't even eat it!

I Love you Anne, but this one is a loser.

This simple salad is both earthy and sophisticated. The Chantrelles make the dish. As the other reviewer said, I Love Anne and I Love this show. For me, a mediocre cook, she makes everything simple enough that I don't get overwhelmed. She rocks.

I told my husband about this recipe...and this summer if we get a bumper crop of cucumbers..I'm going to attempt to pickle them. This recipe sounds very very good..I will definately try this one. I never thought cauliflower could be called "sexy"..who knew? What fun this chef is...omg. Anne makes me laugh the whole show..most of the recipes I can't do, but I watch anyway! I look forward to Saturday mornings...she 's really great! I would love to see her do a show with Guy. I think they would be excellent together...for sure.
