This has become my favorite "company" potato recipe. I have also used half sweet potatoes/half white potatoes. Great. I grate some onion, and chopped rosemary in between the layers in addition to the parmesan. I also used spray olive oil and this works fine - you don't have to drain then. Alwasy turns out pretty and elegant.

Love this recipe! I just substituted Beechers Flagship cheese instead of parmesan and it was sooo good and looks so pretty!

I always try things when I'm alone first, before I attempt on anyone else. I tried this a few days ago and WOW. Now can't wait to make it for my husband. Think I'll trying a little thinly sliced onions too.

This is a great new potato recipe. I added pepper on every other layer or so. I decided to keep the recipe on the stove and after browning I flipped it, turned the heat down to med low and used a lid. Carefully drain any water off lid. Cooked for another 15 minutes. It browned and cooked through.

Delicious. Getting the excess oil out was a little tricky, but the end result was very good!
