For someone who would rather have a brownie, I was really impressed with how tasty, light, moist and fluffy these cupcakes turned out to be! I was worried because the batter had a much different consistency than box mix, but they baked up so much better!! So yummy!!

Why use a box mix when you can make cupcakes with this SUPER easy recipe! The ingredients are all stuff I have in my house already. Easy to follow and execute. They turned out just fabulous. One of the reviewers earlier said they didn't have much taste. Well, to be honest, I prefer my cupcakes to be simply a vessel for the delicious frosting. I don't like the cake to overpower. I will definitely make these again!!!

I thought it was a great recipe. I put my own spin on it. I added 3tsp of instant cappucino mix to the milk. I also alternated mixing in the flour mixture and sour cream and milk mixture. I.also just melted some chocolate chips with a little better and dipped the cupcakes in like a ganache..it was YUMMY!

Love this recipe. Annes recipes tend to me a little complicated, and this one is a snap! Also, one of my fondest childhood memories is being given a beater to lick when grandma made something. If the food is for me and immediately family I don't have an issue with double dipping, but if it is for guests i restrain myself!

Best vanilla cupcakes ever! I did not have sour cream and used a thick yogurt. Just wonderful! I took them out of the muffin tins immediately so they would not overcook. Then I used a vanilla buttercream to frost them. Moist and oh so tasty!

Cupcakes were AMAZING and beautiful! I did not try the frosting, based on the reviews. I've watched the episode several times, but I think it's unlike Anne that she doesn't show the frosting of the cupcakes, so maybe there is something to the reviewers' comments about the consistency. Does anyone know if greek yogurt could be subbed in for the sour cream? I've never baked with greek yogurt, but subbed it in a few stovetop dishes.

I'm a total sweets connoisseur and I love cupcakes!! lol. I just tried making these cupcakes and I must say - they were super simple to make which is nice! However, I felt that there was a lack in the flavors being incorporated together. I don't know if it's due to the sour cream (though I liked the moistness it gave it. It's kinda like when you make chicken and to get all the flavors to settle into the chicken, you need to marinade it and leave it over night or something. Kind of like with this cupcake; like the sugar did not dissolve into it or that it was missing something. Anyway, it was good nonetheless and I'd maybe make them again, because they are so easy. I made it with several different frostings and they all worked!! : Oh also, if you use the deep cupcake papers (that are usually sold in specialty stores or the kind that most cupcake shops use, they do yield 12 otherwise regular store bought ones will make a LOT more (like triple the amount lol.
