I just made these today and they turned out wonderfully! The crumb was very tender. I had a taste for coconut cupcakes so I added 1/2 cup of coconut to the batter and used my own buttercream frosting recipe then sprinkled them with coconut. WHY ARE PEOPLE RATING THIS RECIPE WHEN THEY HAVEN'T MADE IT AND/OR ARE JUST GRIPING ABOUT ANN PUTTING HER TASTING SPOON BACK IN THE BOWL? Whether she does this on an everyday basis or not should not apply to rating how the end product turned out. She's not the first chef to do this nor will she be the last.

These cupcakes were good, but I think there was too much butter and not enough powdered sugar in the frosting. I am wondering if there was a misprint in the recipe. I added about three times as much powdered sugar and some cocoa powder to offset the amount of butter.

I just made these cupcakes and they sure are yummy! I added about 1/4 cup more powdered sugar to the frosting. While my cupcakes were cooling I placed the frosting in the fridge for about 1/2 hour (it was easier to spread on to the cupcakes. I also was able to make about 16 cupcakes from this recipe. Very yummy!

They were good. My family LOVED it. I actually made a cake not cupcakes. I will make them again but perhaps put more powdered sugar in the frosting.

Not bad! The chocolate icing really sets this cupcake off! I was able to make 17 cupcakes with this recipe and had plenty of icing left over! Yummy!

I think these cupcake will be great, I plan on making them today. Any idea how it would affect time of baking if I wanted to bake mini cupcakes instead? Thanks!

These were delicious and super simple!

As a side note, I think this rating & review process is for the recipes, not the chef. Being told that someone licked a spatula or a spoon has no bearing on the quality of the recipe. I think it will behoove everyone if we stick to what this review system is for so that people can actually be assisted in their recipe selections.

These cupcakes were very good, and I give them a 4-star rating. Isn't that what the rating is for? I think the site invites us to "Review This RECIPE"! I don't think Anne or Jamie are coming to your house to cook for you anytime soon, so rest assured they won't be giving you any of their germs!

It was good. I also want Anne to be careful about not licking her utensils and using them to continue stirring her ingredients. Remember, there may be someone out there watching, who think that's okay. Anne, you probably did not realize you did that when you were making your frosting. Your food is good, just be careful.

I did see the show on the cupcakes. Ok so you put the spoon or whatever back in the dish, not good, but not the first and not the last. Sometimes not thinking. I still LOVE YA!!!!!!!
