W-O-W. This is amazing! So glad I decided to give this one a try. A little bit of the pasta water goes a long way too so do NOT skip that addition! She mentions it in the video but no the directions and it was definitely key. And when Anne says stir in the egg mixture vigorously, she's not kidding! That's the key to avoiding scrambled eggs. Thank Ms. Burrell, a homerun!

I made this for dinner last night, after seeing this recipe made on "the best thing I ever made". New show on food network channel. Made a couple of changes such as bacon instead of pancetta and added sauteed mushrooms. It tasted so good that I went back for seconds, which I never do. Sat down to eat the second helping, and could not finish it. My husband did not have a problem with his second helping though, but he was sorry later. That's how filling and rich this dish is. Sorry to say Anne, can't make this one to often. It is defiantly comfort food with a capital C. Love it thanks Anne.

Amazing, I read many of the reviews and decided to make it just as the recipe reads. It was absolutely delicious and so easy! It was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten or made for that matter! This will be made again and again and again. Thank you so much for the clear directions and the great recipe!

Anne, saw the show, thought it sounded great based on your description. Made a couple minor variations and the whole family loved it. Bacon and sun dried tomatoes work well....

I have made several different versions of this recipe this one knocks all of them out of the park. My whole family could not stop eating it. Amazing, thanks Ann for sharing. I felt like a Rock Star Chef.

Everyone said this was going to be too many eggs, but it is not - it is perfection! The best carbonara I've ever made or tasted!!!!

Anne made this look so easy on the video and on tv. I followed the recipe carefully, however I think I didn't stir quickly enough, so it looked kind of like scrambled eggs. I blame it totallly on me, not the recipe. I ate it but it just did'n
t have that creamy texture. I may try it again sometime.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. So creamy my hubby thought I had added some. Eggs will not curdle if you follow her recipe - just keep the heat down and stir well when adding the egg & cheese mixture. Quick & easy. I thought 8 eggs would be too much - they are not.....you need that many to get the final dish. No others on food TV can top this one. Anne Rocks!

Delicious. Obviously not a dish you eat every week but boy was it good. I tempered the eggs a little with the pasta water and no trouble at all getting that creamy sauce. Whatever amount of pepper you think is right--add more, it really needs a lot of pepper. The green onion garnish is a must, as well.
