i don't really enjoy the kitchen but i'm pretty good in it. my daughter and i were watching FN on saturday in bed together and saw the episode for this dish. i decided to make it tonight and all three of my daughters said "it's awesome mom. best dish you've made in a long time." i even cheated with a different cheese and they were shredded, not grated. we'll do it "right" next time. thanks!

Liked it!!! Always reserve a cup of pasta water, because you never know if the dish will need it. I usually do, but not this time, and it needed loosening up.

This was a fantastic indulgence for christmas dinner. Easy, inexpensive, and impressive. Will make again next christmas.

This is a true carbonara, without all of the extras usually added when you get it in a restaurant. I also use bacon when I don't have pancetta, and adding onions to the meat is a good alternative to the scallions if you want them cooked and sweeter. The dish needs to be served right away! It's truly wonderful!

Tasted great, but thought is was a bit rich. I think maybe less eggs and a little 1/2 n 1/2 to smooth out...

Uses a LOT of eggs! I almost got the sauce made but then at the end it started turning into scrambled eggs. Of course, that's due to lack of technique/skill but it just didn't taste the same as what I've had in a restaurant. I think different cheeses are needed so will try other chefs' recipes and give them a try, searching for the right flavor. Note: this recipe does not tolerate re-heating well.

This recipe couldn't have been easier to prepare ;-. I made it for breakfast and even 3 year old loved it. Thanks Anne.

can anyone say scrambled eggs??? Not sure what i was thinking. I always get sucked in by Anne because she seems so capable but this was a mistake and I know better. egg mixture must be tempered before adding. also 6 eggs? total disaster.
