I have made this dish several times and has turned out absolutely wonderful each and every time. easy to do and the flavor is out of this world, I do however add 1/2 cup off thawed out frozen peas

Thank you again Anne!! I love your show, you actually teach this old dog new tricks!! I've tried spaghetti carbonara recipes before and was always disappointed. This one kicked it out of the park! I have chickens, so have plenty of eggs, loved putting the eggs to good use. Delicious!!!

This was really great! I just made myself a single serving with one egg and 1/8cup of cheese by reheating leftover pasta in the microwave and adding it in, which worked suprisingly well. Also, I am vegitarian so ive never made this before (because of the pancetta so I substituted capers instead. I fugured because of their high salt content, they would work well in there (which they did

    dear ms. burrell.
my name is jennifer. i am the mother of twin 8yr olds. i saw this recipe on food network - the best thing i ever made. and...instead of ordering out chinese, i made this for dinner
    it was great!
yes...i used bacon over pancetta...as i didnt have pancetta. and used a mix of parmesan romano...
one child helped me make it. her sister wasnt interested...even when i replayed the episode which i taped on dvd.
however...thisw was a HUGE hit, hubs liked it. i added a bit of onion and mushrooms for me, but left it out for the rest of the family.
the child who helped me make it even had some of a second bowl of it. and the one who scoffed..,.at first, turned around and said she loved it. and tha ti "should make it every night".
    bravo to you!

and yes...dear readers....you MUST stir it constantly once you add the eggs. or you will get scramb,ed eggs. stir. stir. stir!!

ps...my child wanted this for her bday dinner when she turned 8!

Amazingly simple and delicious! This was my first time making carbonara and was nervous I would end up with pasta in scrambled eggs, but the sauce was perfectly creamy. I used linguine rather than spaghetti because of personal preference.

Absolutely delicious and easy to make. I did temper my egg mixture with some of the pasta water so I wouldn't scramble the eggs. And added fresh spinach to the pancetta before adding the pasta. My family loved it. This one is going in my recipe box! Thanks Anne!

We saw this on TV and thought it looked like something we would enjoy. I have to say after reading so many reviews saying they had their eggs go "scrambled" I was a little nervous. Well fellow cooks, I made this tonight for the first time, followed directions to the T and I have to say that 5 stars are not enough. This is AMAZING!!! Thanks Anne for sharing this wonderful recipe with us. Will be making this over and over!!!
