This recipe was delicious and very easy to make. I received Anne's new cookbook, Cook Like A Rockstar, for Christmas and this recipe was in there. I highly suggest getting this cookbook. I can't wait to make all of the recipes in this book.
As for this recipe, it was delicious comfort food!

It truly was an easy dish to make. Quick. I liked the texture. What I didn't like was the taste, and I'm sure it was the pecorino. It was strong and stinky, with almost an aftertaste of plastic or something. The cheese was from a store that stocks high quality cheeses, and this cheese wasn't cheap. It was from Italy. I'm not Italian (I'm Scottish ancestry, and grew up on BLAND country food, but I do like big flavors.
In the show, if I remember correctly, Anne mentioned that the pecorino was gamy (as if this is a good thing, and I think that will be my cue to move along. I think this is my personal bias against gaminess. I don't like wild animals, either, even though I grew up in a family of hunters.
I'm going to try this again and use just regular old Parmesan.
So my three stars has a caveat: it's the stinky cheese. Without that, I think it would have been delicious. BTW, took the leftovers to my mom, who likes stinky things like head cheese, and she loved it.

What a great dish to ring in the New Year with! I was scared to end up with scrambled eggs, but I did not, and this dish is amazing and simple. I think the trick to not getting scrambled is to make sure the pasta is coated with the bacon fat. And, I wisked the egg/cheese/salt pepper mix vigorously for the initial mix and right before pouring it onto the bacon/pasta mix. This is amazing. I have been craving this since Anne made it on the "Best Thing I Ever..."

This recipe was delicious! I made extra just in case it was so good that people wanted a second serving. At the end, my family fought over who would take the leftovers. They even said they ate it for breakfast the next day! Anne, another great recipe! Good job!

Anne Burrell rocks! This was easy, creamy and delicious. I have never thought of making Carbonara because I thought I would end up with scrambled eggs and bacon on pasta. I saw Anne make this and she made it look so easy, and it was. I can't believe there is no cream in this. I used bacon instead of pancetta because I can't find it in my area, but I can't wait to find it and try it in this recipe. Thank you Anne for my new favorite food!!!

3.5 stars
Good ,but a tad salty. Next time I think I will leave out the step of salting the egg/cheese mixture. I also may add 1 cup of frozen peas next go round.

Yum! I didn't use "real" bacon, but used the packaged "real bacon bits" instead. Still, soooo good.

My family loved this recipe! I was a bit intimidated by the comments about scrambled eggs and pasta but as long as you stir as directed it is really a simple meal to make.
