I loved this. As a child of parents that grew up during the depression, I learned an appreciation for canned milk, or cooking milk as it was called it in the south.

I thought this hot chocolate was amazing, but I only gave it 4 stars because I think this is better suited for teens/adults. I made this for my family and it was just a little too complex/rich for the taste buds of my little ones.

My daughter made this last night and thought it was not sweet enough during cooking so wound up adding sweetened condensed milk (which was mistakenly opened for a recipe to be made today and served this over vanilla ice cream. It was rich to be sure, but had strong, complex flavor. I really liked it over the ice cream, but liked it just as well in the middle of the night straight from the 'fridge! It has made the 3x5 recipe file, but only time will tell if it makes the permanent recipe book we keep of our family favorites.

It's good, I make it for my children in winter; this is called "Atole de chocolate" in Mexico.

This is by far the best hot chocolate I have ever had. So very simple to make.

This is a great recipe so thick and rich. It reminds me of hot chocolate that We had in Spain. This is #1 on my list. I didn't try Bobby's recipe it sounds too complicated. This is easy to make.

The best hot chocolate I have ever had. I made a batch for the family and it didn't last long at all. This one's a real keeper.
