Thank God for reviews because of them my dish came out fantastic. I think the key to the dish being successful is removing the bacon afer you render the fat. It will ensure the bacon remain crispy. Also, I removed some of the grease from the skillet. I followed another review who said to add brown sugar and a little cayenne. If you have some hard cider, that takes it over the top. I didn't have the pepitas, but I will next time to see if it makes a difference. I do like different textures in my food.

This recipe is confusing because it is called "Sweet Potato,..." but the ingredients call for yams but the body of the instructions mentions sweet potatoes. The color in the picture looks more like yams, but I used sweet potatoes. The flavor was really good, and I will make it again, but maybe I will try yams instead.

We tried this recipe tonight for dinner, and I may have just found my favorite thing in the world! This was so tasty and easy, too. Loved it. The bacon flavor just made all the ingredients so incredibly yummy. I would recommend it to everyone!

WOW Fantastic. Did not use pumpkin seeds or the scallions didnt need them. This is wonderful and was not on the table long enough for me to get back to get another bite after making it. This is a keeper for sure. thanks

I know this is means to go with chicken, but it's SO tasty with pork chops, too!

Loved the dish. I made some modifications. I added some cranberrys, butter at the end and a handfull of brown sugar. Wonderful! Was excellent with the spicy black beans and rice. Very creative, yet simple.

OH so wonderful and delicious. You're right Anne, this recipe rocks! I made the Maple Cayenne Chicken and Sweet Potato Hash together and I have to be honest it was one of the best dinners I've made. I actually under-reduced my glaze (I was afraid of over-reducing but it was nonetheless amazing. Thanks Anne for a great recipe, I will definitely make this one again. This is in fact one I would make if I wanted to impress someone!
