The minute I saw Anne prepare this dish it I knew it was a winner. The explosion of flavors was a hit with the kids and adults alike. I agree that the cobination of olive oil and bacon fat was a bit much, so I substituted half the pork bacon with Turkey bacon. The consistency was such that it would make a GREAT stuffing for pork chops and chicken alike. THANKS ANNE!! LOVE YOUR SHOW!!

Anne Rocks! this dish is super simple and comes together very fast. while I really enjoyed Anne's version, I found that I needed something else in this dish to make it sing. A splash or red wine vinegar did the trick. I think I have a new sweet potato recipe for the holidays.

i made this recipe tonight with the maple cayenne chicken. what a pair. The salty from the bacon and the tartness of the apples with the sweet potatoes was perfect. i wouldnt change a thing about this and this as another said would be an excellent dish for brunch. very good!

This looked so easy and tasty that I'm going to serve these sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving instead of my traditional recipe. The reviews have encouraged me too.

Watched Anne make this and it really sounded good! Had butternut squash on hand, so I substituted that for the sweet potatoes, and it was fabulous! I thought the fat rendered by the bacon combined with the olive oil was a little excessive, so I discarded some of it before adding my onion. Next time, I'll undercook my potatoes (or squash while roasting, so that the added time in the skillet won't overcook them. I didn't add the pepitas at the end...it was so good when I tasted it, I didn't think it needed anything else! This is definitely a KEEPER!

I made this to accompany a glazed pork loin. It was wonderful! I didn't have the pumpkin seeds (pepitas so I roasted some pecans instead.
This recipe deserves a spot on the Thanksgiving table!

When we saw the program this morning, we just had to try the meal. We were not disappointed! The hash was perfect with the Maple & Cayenne Glazed Chicken, but it would also make a delicious brunch dish. I have visions of the yummy hash topped with a poached or fried egg....
