I love watching Anne's show but have never tried a recipe before. I made this whole fish recipe last night and it was superb! It was pricey, as I had little choice of whole fresh fish at my local market.... they only had small red snappers, but it was worth the price. It was easy, looked beautiful and tasted even better...........Thank you Anne.

We never tried preparing a whole fish before but it is going to become a habit with us. It wa the most tender and moist fish we have ever served and sooooo easy. Not to mention healthy. We used a yellow tail snapper.
The filets plated just as it did on the show. She is the best of the new TV chefs. All our friends (foodies talk about her and her exciting personality. Keep it up.. Thanks

You are right Keith, some people just feel the love of cooking and food more than others. I know when I'm cooking I can taste it before I have really tasted it! It's just a feeling ! Can't wait to try this, I have to send my husband out to catch some kind of fish so it's fresh, we don't get fresh fish here unless you catch it yourself!! I can taste it now!!!

It's a shame that one rating can drag down a superb recipe's overall rating (STOP it, Oleysa!. It's especially disturbing when it appears that the person didn't even try the recipe and was simply crabbing about the chef.
That being said, I tried this recipe and received kudos from all of my guests. The fish (I tried striped bass was outstanding - wonderfully aromatic, moist and delicious - and so easy to make.
Keep it up Anne; your show is one of my favorites. I find your enthusiasm very entertaining.

I have been cooking all kinds fish for years, but never braved a whole fish. This recipe was so easy result was wonderful. I used a red snapper and it turned out tender, tasty, moist and fragrant. I did make a few changes in the herbs. I used fresh tarragon instead of oregano and added some sliced shallots to the stuffing and base. I also baked the fish longer because I was serving more people and had a larger fish. My 13 yr old grandson loved it and our guests were wowed by the whole fish presentation. I served this with a vegetable gratin and the same wine that I used for the fish. My friend said, "I knew you could cook, but I never knew you were a real chef." This recipe was a winner! Thanks.
