I saw the show ahd watched Anne make it. I love coconut but most family members don.t.So when an occasion csme up I made it. The cake is delish. Large cake with a dense texture. I used the same brand coconut cream as Anne the oz. content was different. The frosting was VERY runny a trip to the frig thicked it slighty(enough to apply. After the coconut went on, bk to refrig. The frosting set up nicely. 4 stars because of that. Going to try Enerls next time.

As far back as I can remember there has been a squabble between my aunts as to who made the BEST Cocconut Cake. I made yours last week-end and I can say without a doubt, Yours is the best I have ever tasted. I put it on facebook to share with my friends. I most likley will not get a Christmas card from a few aunts, but it is the truth!! Do you have a pie recipe to match?? Being Southern I would sure to be dis-owned!!!

Incredible. I made a couple changes but in no way did the changes keep it from being an awesome cake. I made it in a deep sheet pan and adjusted the time in the oven. I toasted the cocount for the frosting in a couple tablespoons of butter on top of the stove, so the coconut in the frosting was incredible too. Great flavor enhancement.

This cake was incredible! Be sure to use the coconut cream, not the coconut milk- it makes a big difference. You can find it near the beer/wine section with the drink mixes. I also added some lime zest and the juice of one small lime (lightly squeezed to the icing and it was fantastic!! Had a very tropical feel. Thanks for such a great recipe Anne!

The cake was very good. I agree with another review about the icing being too soft. Even after refrigeration it gets soft quickly. I would definitely make it again adding a little more confectioners sugar to thicken the frosting. Thanks for sharing Anne

everyone in my family loved the cake! The icing was a bit liquidy after i put it on. I put it in the fridge for about 3 hours and it got a bit better! awesome recipe!

Absolutely one of the best cakes ever. I didn't have 9" pans that were 2" tall so I used 3 -8" baking pans and the cake looked spectacular as well as delicious. The cake has a wonderful "crumb" and the icing is very "fluffy" for a cream cheese icing. My husband loved it! Thanks Anne for your great recipes!!!

Made the cake for our Father's Day celebration with the extended family. Absolutely loved by all. Such great flavor and wonderfully moist and dense. Will definitely make again.

Unbelievable! The cream of coconut made the cake really moist. I folded in the egg whites just as Anne said, and it made the cake really high. This cake just went to the top of my list - thanks, Anne!

I'm excited about making this cake for Father's Day it looked delicious. One viewer said she did not use cream of cocoa or coconut milk. What can you use in place of cream of cocoa? or can you leave it out all together?
