Far too time consuming! I did everything with the right quantities and followed the recipe exactly - took an hour and a half of standing stirring the brownie mixture before I gave up and admitted defeat. It just would not go fudgy! Went ahead and made it anyway and for all the time and effort I put into it they were extremely sweet (and I have a sweet tooth and the brownie base just was not right. Don't know how it went so wrong when it seems to have worked for so many other people but I've made much better in a fraction of the time. They didn't taste bad but I probably won't make them again.

First off, the brownies alone were to die for! I made them up to there then devoured them without the peanut butter topping, but then I decided to to make the whole thing. They were DELICIOUS. I even gave a batch to a friend for his birthday, and the whole pan of them got eaten that night! Two thumbs up on these. Just perfect.

Anne, I miss seeing your show. Come back!!!

    Thanks-

These brownies are fantastic!!!! I have made them twice since finding the recipe this past summer. The brownies are soft and the buttercream is extremely decadent! But, they do take time! Make sure that you have enough before you try to make these.

I made these and they were absolutely gorgeous! I was even accused of buying them rather than making them myself, they were that good. I needed help converting the American measures into UK measures (we don't buy butter in sticks, and American cup sizes are slightly smaller to our cup sizes so having the ingredients by weight in grammes would have helped but I must have got it right because everyone loved them. The brownie was fudgy, the peanut butter filling was smooth and slightly salty and the chocolate ganache finished them off nicely. I'm making these again, and I hope my first success wasn't a fluke.

I read the reviews before attempting this recipe. The first time I made the brownie part over the double boiler I couldn't get the sugar to dissolve like some other people that I read. I watched her make these and the mixture went into a ball like the directions say so I set the first batch aside and tried again. Once again I couldn't get the sugar to dissolve, the mixture was gritty. I didn't want to waste the expensive ingredients so I put both batches together and doubled the eggs and flour and put them in the oven to bake as directed and they came out fine. I didn't add all that butter to the peanut butter and I made my ganache with heavy cream instead of the butter. The people at worked raved about them! Very time intensive for the first time but good non the less. Edie Hunter

Loved the brownies (best homemade recipe I've come across yet and the peanut butter layer was amazing. That said, the ganache launched these brownies to an over-the-top sweetness that hurt my teeth. I'm a chocoholic and love very sweet desserts but this was too much even for my taste. I will make these again but without the ganache and probably without the chocolate chips in the brownies.

I made this recipe for a family cookout. Everyone loved them! I knew that they were going to be a hit, so I printed a few copies of the recipe to give out and had to make more because everyone wanted a copy. Super Yummy!!!

Better than a Reese! I put it in the refrigerator to chill for a few hours before serving (which I highly recommend, but next time before the top layer hardens completely I'll cut them into pieces. They kinda cracked up when I attempted to cut them.
