These are the best brownies ever. Everyone I have made them for whole heartedly agree. They are time consuming but well worth the effort. I often make them without the peanuts.

My 13-year-old daughter and I made these recently. I had to whisk the chocolate mixture into the butter over the double boiler for a very long time before it turned "fudgy". We also cooked the brownie for only 25 minutes, instead of the recommended 30-35. This resulted in a chewy and delicious brownie. Once assembled and cut into squares, we occasionally had the ganache separate from the peanut butter filling, but ultimately, this was the best brownie we have ever had. Absolutely LOVED it!

These are so good! They are a lot of work and I will only make them for special occasions, but they impressed everyone that ate them. As a lot of reviews said, I decreased the bake time for brownies to 28 minutes and they came out soft.

I made these brownies, and while they are very good (and very rich, I wasn't entirely happy with them. Despite taking extra care to press the peanuts into the peanut butter layer, some of them still fell apart. I just think that they're more trouble than they are worth. I have a lot more brownie recipes in my repertoire (Creme de Menthe Brownies for example that are far easier and more reliable.

These were so freaking great I had to send them to work with my husband because I couldn't quit eating them. I don't usually have that problem. They were just that good.

These were good, but a little rich (and I like rich.
I do love Anne though and all of her recipes are home runs to me.

This receipe is definitely worth the time! The brownies are excellent. I prefer letting them come up to room temperature to serve--I found the brownie's taste and texture are better that way.

The best brownies ever. Just follow the directions they are not difficult to make. I took them to work and every single person said they were incredible! Anne is a goddess.
