I just made this dish and it remind me of an Apple Pie Crisp. I added a scoop of vanilla ice cream and now I'm in heaven....lol
I can't wait to have it for breakfast tomorrow.

The cinnamon measurments are incorrect. On the show she only put ONE TABLESPOON of cinnamon into the oatmeal mixture. Then she put one SCANT TEASPOON of cinnamon in the topping.

Couldnt wait to make this and did and was so disappointed. Not sweet enough, mushy mostly- should have had eggs and then it might have held together better. It was like a fancy bowl of hot oatmeal. Needed alot more sugar than 1/4 cup in the body, I wasted alot of good ingredients. Poo. Sorry Paula.

I tuned in to the middle of this show yesterday, just as Paula and Bubbles were making this casserole, and I decided to make it this morning......delicious! It can be used either as a breakfast dish or as a dessert (with ice cream! and in one larger casserole dish or in individual ramekins. I did make a couple of changes, however: I left the peel on the apple, like they suggested, and I reduced the cinnamon "Tablespoon" measurements to teaspoons. I wasn't sure if that was a typographical error or not since I didn't see that part of the show, but it seemed like a lot of cinnamon to me. The results were great! This recipe is definitely one I will make again and again. Thanks Paula and Bubbles!

Saw the show and had to make the dessert for dinner that night and it was wonderful. When our company walked in the door they smelled it immediately and couldn't wait to eat it. 5 stars
