You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 5 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup apple cider

Topping:

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pound unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Directions

Toss the apples with the tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg and cider. Place in 1 1/2 quart lightly buttered serving bowl. Combine the dry ingredients for the topping ad with your fingers mix in butter gently, until it resembles coarse crumbs. Spread over apples, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve with softly whipped cream

    this was so good, super easy to whip up. kinda juicy, you could probably cut back on a little cider. But it turns out like caramel. eat it with ice cream and your in heaven!

    I am not a huge baker, especially from scratch. I find this recipe very easy and was able to alter it to my preferences- like no extra juice- too much liquid and extra oats and cinnamon. I like to play off a basic recipe and this has a awesome base to work from.
