Dosen't anyone else that made this pie think that 2 Tablespoons of Cinnamon is too much? I only put on tablespoon in and it was too much. I think it must be a typo in the recipe.

I looked at different recipes and noted the amount of sugar in them. This called for only one half a cup and it looked easy enough. My family does not like a lot of sweetness. I made the pie today with apples off my parent's apple tree. It was a big hit. The flavor of the apple came through beautifully. Good and simple recipe. I like that.

I made this apple pie for Thanksgiving this year...the very first one I've hosted in my house. It was such a hit! And extremely easy to do! Thanks so much for sharing.

I've search for a recipe using a cooked apple filling. Cooking makes the apples more tender. I would suggest using granulated sugar in place of brown sugar or possibly 50 / 50.

I made this over the holidays and it was a huge hit! I thought that the extra step of cooking the apples would be a bad idea and turn out mushy. But not so. They were perfect!
