Great recipe, as for the people who say the recipe is to sweet, try your apples first. Depending on the season, freshness,... area, age, size, and type of apple sweetness levels will naturally vary greatly. I used small, locally grown, in peak season, very ripe, just picked Gala apples, I love them for pies, so applesauce seemed like the next natural step, the 1/4 cup was a bit to sweet for these naturally very sweet apples, next time I'll cut back on the amount of sugar. I also added a touch of ground cloves to round out the nutmeg and cinnamon.Read more

    Lumpy and too sweet

I followed this recipe EXACTLY and I don't know what went wrong. My apples never got "mushy" enough to where I could smash... them into applesauce. It was also WAY too sweet. It was yummy on top of ice cream, though... so not a total loss.Read more

This recipe was so simple, came out great. I kept the skin on though and used an immersion blender to puree it a little bit.... Fantastic!Read more

This is the easiest, quickest, and with out a doubt the best tsating applesauce I have ever had! My father absolutely loved... it and he is one of my biggest critics! My mom thought it had a really strong taste, but said she absolutely loved it, too! Excellent for picky eaters!!!Read more
