I really liked this recipe. It is not for someone who is not a fan of buttermilk as it is a strong taste in recipe however, I love buttermilk and it worked great! Thanks

We use these all the time. We always double the recipe. They are soooo easy and equally yummy.

I picked this recipe based on more positive than negative reviews. What a disappointment it was. I am a good cook and followed the recipe exactly as laid out and mine did not do that wonderful fluff as in the photo. They were thin and flat. Not recommended at all. I gave it a one because I had to give it a star but this is a ZERO. I have made much better than this.

Very good. Add a little more flour for a very light and fluffy pancake.

Yummy, light and fluffy. Not hugely high, but definitely rose quite a bit and a nice spongy texture. I did reduce the butter by 3 tablespoons and used extra large eggs. These were not too sweet, I don't like a lot of sugar in my pancake, that is what syrup is for! Do not let your griddle get too hot, medium heat is what this needs in order to rise and cook.

I just finished eating my panackes with a small piece of let ovr steak :-
This is a very good recipe. MY batter was not eggy and my cakes were not flat. I mixed all the dry ingredients well, added milk, mixed w/ a whisk, added eggs and mixed again. Don't mix too many times, which can cause flat, tough pancakes. I let the batter rest for 5 minutes and made 12 tasty pancakes. I used reduced fat buttermilk (120 calories/3.5 g fat/2.5g sat fat. I don't use box pancakes and when I did (years ago the results were never this great.

KEEP TRYING PEOPLE...It's all in the wrist :-

I agree with Sophiee who posted on 5/11/11; saw the picture, had some buttermilk and said, yeah! I'm going to make some fluffy, buttermilk pancakes on a Sunday morning! What I got was an overwhelming eggy flavor and flat pancakes. Not what we were looking for and yes, I've gotten better results with Bisquick. A 1/2 of cup minus the 2 tablespoons did seem like a lot of butter and it was.
