This was the first time I have ever made banana cream pie and it was a big hit at our dinner party! The crust is perfectly flaky and very versatile, perfect for a sweet or savory pie. I think the next time I make this crust, I will try adding a little more sugar, though. I added some chocolate chips on the crust as soon as it came out of the oven. Once they melted, I spread them to make a thin layer. I also shaved some chocolate on the top of the whipped cream right before serving. I will definitely keep this one in my recipe repertoire! Thanks Aida!

When you watch this show when Aida is making this pie you will notice that she #1 touches raw eggs with her hands her, weird way of separating yolks from whites #2 is that after she touches these eggs she just wipes her hands in a towel without washing her hands!everything she touched after that was contaminated with raw egg. This saddens me that someone that is suppose to give advice can't even practice the basic rules of kitchen cleanliness.

I used the brown sugar & low fat 1/2 & 1/2 - I think the filling was too dark and sweet. next time I would use white sugar. I guess I am just used to the color of the box filling.
