Only 1 "exotic" ingedient in the Garam Masala. Very easy to prepare. It had the whole house smelling great. I've never had roasted winter squash, but after this I think it will become more of a staple. This was a very moist and flavorful chicken. This goes into the medium rotation of recipes.

P.S. Where's the Aida Cookbook? It would save me some scribbling.

What a fantastic twist on a Sunday Roast. I followed the instructions and put the chicken on top of the veggies. Some of the potatoes did not get fully cooked. I am making it again this week and I think I will just put the veggies around the chicken. Very tasty dish!

This is the first time I have tried to roast a whole chicken. It was easy to make and was so tasty. The yogurt really makes the skin crunchy and the veggies taste amazing.

This dish was so good that I'm making it for a second Sunday in a row.

What a delicious way to prepare chicken! I'd bought garam masala recently and this was the perfect recipe to use it for. Perfectly browned and tasty with the yogurt baste. I didn't have squash but substituted sweet potatoes to good results. Can't wait to make it again!

    This recipe turned out great!

Once a month our church cooks for the homeless at the Durham Rescue Mission. I made this chicken recipe and it was beautiful!

I don't cook whole chickens myself that often, so I am far from an expert on roasting whole chickens. Easy to follow and delicious. The men at the rescue mission loved this!

Tons of flavor using very few ingredients. The yogurt basting midway through cooking gave the best crispy skin I've ever had in a roasted chicken, while keeping the inside very moist. Like Aida says on the show, the veggies do get quite soft - next time I will probably add them later in the cooking process, but will definitely be making this recipe again. Served with a romaine, carrot, and avocado salad with a cumin-lime vinaigrette.
