I made the recipe. I tasted. NOW...I agree with all other opinions/evals...this recipe makes a delicious butter! Put the butter on meats or veggies...again, delicious.

FABULOUS!!!! We enjoy flavored butter on steaks as opposed to steak sauces. This one is in our top 3 now. Love it...........try it.

This recipe almost tastes exactly like Max & Erma's Larado Steak. I absolutely LOVED this recipe. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use a cast iron grill pan for the steaks... not just a regular saute pan. Also, I didn't cook them as long as the recipe calls for. The butter is AMAZING. I dipped my fries in it as well :

I really was excited for this recipe, but I have to say that I ended up reaching for A1 to add some flavor. Maybe I made the butter wrong, but for Pete's sake, it wouldn't melt until I had to microwave it. The flavor of the butter was also very unsatisfying.

I have an "ASK AIDA"!!!! Did you know that adding this much cumin and paprika to anything is gonna make it taste like one of those taco spice mixes that one adds to ground beef to make lousy tacos. HEY AIDA YOU OWE ME $15 FOR THE NICE STEAKS THIS RECIPE LOUSED UP!! YUCH!! As for the other reviews....they must like taco beef.

This really adds an extra component to the flavor of steak. I've been stuck in a rut with the same old rubs/spices, and this was a really simple change of pace. I have made it as a compound butter (as in the recipe and also have used rubbed the spices on the steak, grilled and added plain butter after. It works better when you follow Aida's recipe.

I got stuck on Jet Blue and watched this segment on the Food Network. The next night, I prepared this diner as a surprise for my wife (with the green beans and garlic home fries too. What an easy and exceptionally great dinner. The steaks cooked as recommended came out perfect.

    Thanks Aida

Boy this was good. The only problem is I didn't put enough butter on when the steaks were done. Good thing the butter makes a good amount.
