This is the first lasagna I have ever attempted. I made it for my boyfriend and we were blown away at how well it turned out. I simmered the sauce for about 30 minutes and followed every other direction exactly as listed. My boyfriend's family was skeptical because they often have had homemade lasagna that they don't care for. They loved this recipe--we all did. We couldn't stay away from it! This will be my new go-to meat sauce. Awesome recipe!

This is seriously the best lasagna I have ever had. I had made lasagna once before, and the results were horrible. This time, I watched Aida make it on her show, then tried it for myself, following her recipe to the T. It was AWESOME. My boyfriend even said it was better than his mom's... the ultimate compliment. The consistency and flavors were perfect. I definitely recommend trying this!

The best lasagna ever! It's a lot of lasagna for two, so I cut all of the ingredients in half and baked in an 8x8 baking dish, same cooking time and temp, and it was perfect. I think what makes this lasagna so special is the sweet sausage. I love my food spicy, so I have always used spicy sausage in pasta sauces, but I decided to try the sweet this time and I was so glad I did! The only change in ingredients I made was that I used only sausage, no ground pork, for the meat (couldn't find any in the grocery store that day for some reason. This lasagna has more flavor than any other I have tried. Also, it has the perfect texture - not too dry nor too runny. No wonder this is one of Aida's family recipes!

This recipe was very tasty. The ingredients were easy to find. I used sweet turkey sausage and added in ground turkey instead of pork. It came out very tasty. This will be my new spaghetti sauce too.

I watched Aida make this a couple of times before I decided to try it. It was hands down the best lasagna I've made, and I always make home made lasagna. Once it cooked and sat, it was perfect. Cheese was spot on and that sauce is amazing. This is my new lasagna recipe.

I made this today and it tasted great. My teenage son loved it as well and he didn't even complain about the ricotta cheese (of course, I didn't tell him it was in there either; It cut fine and didn't slide all over the plate just like she said. The sauce was so easy to make too.

I made this for the first time when having a football coaches dinner(big eating crowd. It was a complete hit, not one bite left. Everyone loved it. The sauce was easy to make and extreamly flavorful. I think the ground pork really mellows the flavor. The cheese was perfect with the sauce. Easy to make too and not too many different ingredients. This will be someing I make at many more gatherings as well as family dinners!

I've tried about 4 different lasagna recipes, most of them pretty similar. This one was by far the best. My mom's recipe called for an egg to be mixed with the ricotta (but she's German, what does she know about Italian food. The straight ricotta in this dish had a better, more pronounced flavor.

The best part was the sauce. Very easy to prepare and 10 times better than anything that comes from a jar. I followed the recipe and had about a pint and a half of sauce left over which is terrific. It will be great with a host of other dishes, or just as a dip for bread. The most difficult thing about this was the 20 minute wait after it was cooked.

This was absolutely yummy!! My DH loved it and being Italian, couldn't get over it. He's been always on the look-out for a really good lasagna and is a very tough critic. I was afraid to try any lasagna recipe but finally thought, "why not?" It took some time but was worth it. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out great. To Liv, maybe you should've used a lasagna pan?! If you remember on the show, she had a lasagna pan to accomodate all the sauce and ricotta cheese that she used. If it didn't fit in the pan you used, you could always make another pan to freeze for later. Maybe you should learn to measure . . . .
