I've tried this with cheddar, colby jack, pepper jack, swiss...all were DELISH!! I don't think I'll ever go back to the cheese being on top.

I did borrow a suggestion from another chef the 2nd time making these and that is to brown them for 2 minutes on each side and them finish them off in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes at 400 degrees and I highly suggest getting your cheese fresh from the deli.

Juicy and flavorful! A real crowd pleaser. With the amount of filling the burgers had to be massive, but by the time it cooked down it was perfect bun size!

These stuffed burgers were delicious! Made them last night for my husband and he loved them and took left overs to work. Next time thinking about putting jalapenos or mushrooms. Yumm! Thanks Sunny!

This is probably the singe best and easiest burger recipe I have ever made. So simple and crazy good. It allows you to tweak the meat to your desire. Personally I like to make a little extra of the onion/bacon mixture and work it through the meat as well. I add a little seasoning depending on my mood...ranch mix or spicy burger mix! These are so good that I was angry at my kids for eating the burgers that were left over, for lunch the next day, before I could eat them! MINE! =
