It is a bit too much butter, the fish kind of is floating in a pool of butter. Tasty? yes. Personally, I am a big fan of catfish and to me this is a fish that is meant to be fried. There is no baked catfish recipe on earth that holds a candle to good, fried catfish. I think I would opt for talapia or some other light white fish with this recipe. Anyhow, was good for a change. Also, maybe my catfish was a bit thicker but I had to bake almost 20 minutes before it was fork tender all the way through.

Very tasty dish, but too much liquid! I double the recipe (for four filets and it was far, far too much. I also added a bit of lemon zest from the fresh squeezed lemon. The cilantro is a very nice touch to this dish. Our guests loved it!

I enjoyed this dish very much. I would definitely decrease the butter and increase the lemon. If your fillets are thick or you are using more than two, then you will need to cook it longer than the time required. I was cooking three and they were fairly thick. After thirty min. I started checking the texture and color of the fish.
All in all loved the dish and will definitely cook this again.

Easy and fast recipe. My VERY picky family loved it. I baked the fish for 20 min and my fillets were not thick. Definitely needed more than the 12 min suggested. Will use again!!!

I loved this recipe! It was really quick and easy, all of the ingredients were in the house and it was another alternative to fried catfish! Tasted like a restaurant recipe!

I started fishing in April this year, and found a spot where we get 5-10 catfish every time between 3-8 lbs each. My favorite way to eat them used to be fried in a sandwich until I tried this recipe.

My wife is lucky if I cook a handfull of times during the year, but when I do it is not the usual everyday meals. Last night I decided to find a recipe for baked catfish and found this one. Both of us loved it. The sauce was really EASY to prepare and TASTY (I added THYME. Cook it for about 25 MINUTES though. With all the catfish I'm getting, this recipe will become pretty popular in my kitchen. Ate it with broccoli, but will go PERFECT with TOSTONES, steamed veggies or rice.

Sorry I wrote too much, but it was SO GOOD I signed up just to let everyone know.

I made this recipe for our family of four and everyone liked it. The kids & hubby aren't really fish lovers, but I heard no complaints about this dish. I used about 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, Chardonnay and left out the cilantro. The sauce ended up tasting like a scampi and I can't wait to try it with using fresh shriimp. Next time I'll probably cut the amount of butter in half since we try to eat healthy. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great recipe!
