I have been making banana bread for decades. I tried this new recipe because of the reviews. I was very disappointed. I followed the recipe very carefully, but it turned out very, very dry and frankly, I could not give the bread to a friend as planned, because it just was not good. I would try another recipe.

I make this banana bread every time I have overripe bananas and it's absolutely wonderful. I love it and so do my coworkers who usually have the pleasure of helping me finish it. It's moist and people tell me it's not too sweet (although I like sweet and it's perfect for me, too. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to bake than the recipe says, but checking it with a knife/toothpick never fails.

Oh my! sooooo good! I made a few modifications based on what I had on hand and I have never had a banana bread taste so good. I only had 2 very ripe bananas so I used that as well as a cup of fresh blueberries to make up the missing banana (don't mash those though! keep em whole also added a dash of vanilla and as others suggested used 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Oh I also used cream instead of milk because that is what I had :
I will never use another recipe.

Excellent--moist, sweet but not too sweet. I had so many 'mashable' bananas that I doubled the recipe and did one loaf and a dozen muffin. Naturally you'll need to take the muffins out sooner, but it's handy for giving to an elderly friend and I'll freeze half for another time.

Used 1/4 cup applesauce and 1/4 cup oil instead of the butter to lower calories and saturated fat. I also added cardamom, cloves, allspice and cinnamon, just a dash of each. Very good.

Excellent and tasty - very easy recipe to follow. If you need a no fail quick bread for guests staying over for breakfast this is a good "go-to" recipe.
