This is not the Big Bob Gibson's White Sauce Recipe from the cookbook we have. Gosh....how many versions are there? We would not like one that had corn syrup in it.
We are trying the one we have this weekend.
2 cups mayonnaise
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup apple juice
2 tsp prepared horseradish
2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

I've seen the (young guy from Big Bobs on a few different programs and each time he shows a similar, but different recipe. We all know that these people will rarely give up thier real recipes for things that they want us to buy. Can't blame them there. One program he used white vinegar, the next cider vinegar. Sometimes he puts sugar, sometimes not. You just have to take the basic recipe and adjust it to the way YOU like it. Or, Go buy some of it from Big Bob Gibson's.

I've had this recipe for a few years now but never tried it until today when I saw America's test kitchen use it, like them I did not use the cane syrup as I don't like sweet sauces, did use a dash of sugar, I only made a little sauce to see if I'd like it, love love loved it, this is my new sauce.

To Christie et al; try searching Big Bob's Gibson's White Sauce (not my spelling but Food TVs - Paula Deen did a BBQ tour and has another version of this recipe you may like. I personally have not tried this yet but hope to soon.

The recipe was great not the best I've had but definetly not the worst. I experamented with it and added some fresh crushed garlic and it made it even better
