So simple and so delicious. Had basil pesto in freezer and used that instead. Healthy and lovely. Cooked small, skin on, sockeye fillet for 5 minutes on a preheated high gas grill.

Made this for an Easter lunch for family. Everyone loved it. I used toasted pinenuts instead of the pepitas and it was great. Can't wait to use the extra pesto on grilled chicken! Great recipe, great flavors, and very easy to make.

This recipe is as easy to make as it is tasty. Cedar plank salmon has been on my recipe list for quite sometime now, but the cilantro pesto adds a whole new level to the dish. I like to make the pesto a little thicker (lower the amount of olive oil and spread it on like a butter on top of the salmon before serving. On top of ease and taste, the presentation looks amazing.

I've done plank grilled salmon before so I was just looking for a good receipe and this one met the challenge. I cut the cilantro by half and made it up with Parsley. I would also add a little more lime and jalapeno next time.

The salmon and the pesto were a match made in heaven. Due to other disasters with cedar planks, we used soaked wood chips. Also, for the pesto, I didn't have pumpkin seeds and substituted sunflower seeds. We like spicy and used only 1/2 of a jalapeno. Taste as you go. The pesto is awesome and can be used on everything. Great recipe.

I live in San Luis Obispo and am a frequent diner at Windows on the Water in Morro Bay where Pandee is the chef. Everything I've had on her menu is terrific. I'm happy to see one of her recipes on the tv food network.

Never had salmon grilled on a plank before . Was amazed at how easy it was to cook and wonderful it looked and tasted. The pesto was great tasting especially with a little added jalapeno.

I didn't do the plank grilling because it's winter and I have 6 inches of snow on my deck but just made the pesto instead.....it was so good that we had fish and chicken for the next couple of days after to use it all up. Also, couldn't get out to buy pumpkin seeds so used almonds instead. It was still pretty good.....
