This recipe is very close to one I "made up" years ago because I don't like anything slathered in mayo! I use balsamic vinegar and about a tablespoon of French Tarragon. Magnifique!

I have always liked the idea of cole slaw, but have rarely liked the actual execution of it. This vinegar based dressing on this recipe is AMAZING!!! I doubled the recipe and brought it to a party where it got rave reviews from everyone there. And this was for a family function with lots of foodies! It was great to have a stand out recipe among the other great food items there!

This is the best vinaigrette based coleslaw!!! I make it all the time. It is always a hit and perfect for outdoor gatherings because you don't have to worry about keeping it cold. I have taken shortcuts and purchased the bags of broccoli slaw and it is also wonderful. It's the dressing makes the difference

I searched high and low for a delicious vinaigrette coleslaw dressing, and this is it. Everybody who tried it loved it. BTW, 3 oz. of sugar is about 1/3 cup, it's a pain to take out the scale every time. This is the dressing I'll be using from now on, since my husband is a heart patient, so no more creamy, mayonnaise-type dressings here!

This recipe reminds me of a wonderful Italian restaurant that had this dressing over kidney Beans and garbonzo Beans...it was wonderful on the coleslaw! If you use the bag coleslaw, only use half of the dressing. I didn't put the bell pepper, carrots or green onions but it would be even better with all of that!

Very Tasty and Light. The Oil and Vinegar Dressing didn't seem traditional, but I had all the ingredients in the pantry so I made it. The colors and flavors were very clear and crisp, not creamy/gooey. Everyone at the picnic loved it and there were no leftovers. I will make this again.

I'm on a low-sodium diet due to health issues and this is a great cole slaw option without mayonnaise (which can be high in sodium. I don't use Dijon mustard but a hearty grain mustard that has no sodium. I also omit the salt and use fresh oregano. There is virtually no sodium other than what occurs naturally.
