Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon mesquite spice
  • 1/4 cup your favorite rub (recommended: Cuz Rub)
  • 6 pork chops

Directions

Preheat a grill.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, garlic salt, mesquite spice, and the rub. Rub mixture on both sides of the pork chops. Place pork chops on grill and cook on both sides until pork reaches an internal temperature of 150 degrees F, about 5 minutes on each side (cooking time will vary based on the thickness of the chops). Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

I don't know what else to say except, this recipe was great! The chops were juicy and very flavorful! I will admit I had my doubts when my husband said to me "I'm making dinner". Delicious.

i'd use a little less brown sugar and more rub to make it a little less sweet

Fudged the "mesquite" seasoning and used a McCormick's chicken rub but turned out great. Lots of rub left over for next time.
