Ingredients

  • 5 pounds ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons seasoning salt
  • 2 ounces steak sauce (recommended: A-1 Steak Sauce)
  • 3 ounces onions, finely chopped
  • 5 large hamburger buns

Directions

Preheat barbecue to 400 degrees F.

In a large bowl combine the ground beef, seasonings salt, sauce, and onions. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients together. Divide the meat into individual 1 pound patties.

Once the barbecue has reached 400 degrees F, place the patties directly onto the grill above the direct heat. Cook the patty on 1 side for at least 5 minutes, then turn the patty over and cook for another 5 minutes. Repeat this process for about 20 to 25 minutes or until desired doneness is reached.

Place beef patty on a hamburger bun dressed with your favorite condiments and enjoy!

I Love these burgers! They were great accept insteat of 1 pound burgers I made them 1/2 pound burgers, (and If you do that... you want to remember to cut down the cooking time also.) These were so easy to make and I had all of my neighbors over too and they all loved them. Great recipe.Read more

    clarification?

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
Is the steak sauce supposed to be mixed into the meat with the 'seasonings salt', or just added to the burger as a condiment?... I chose another recipe for tonight's burgers, but will check back.Read more

So yummy!! Hubby took one bite and said "Oh yeah.. I'm going back for seconds." After 20 minutes I looked at him, he was too... full to go back for seconds. He was stuffed to the gills. The kids and I were lucky to eat half of the burger. Wow they were good! Not bad reheated either. Hubby never reheats ground beef, but he couldn't help himself. He's in love!Read more

The burgers turned out fabulous. The kids said it was the best they have ever had. Most of all, it was simple to prepare.
