this recipe is awesome. However the 15-30 servings is way off. It makes 80 1/2 cup servings. and that is with 1 less pound of bacon. The flavors are great and it is an easy side dish for a large group. I cooked it on the stove top and added a couple teaspoons liquid smoke.

I simplified this recipe by doing almost everything in the crock pot instead of actually baking the beans and they turned out great. I also used a chipotle based sauce and the smoke flavour was a perfect match. Really a great recipe and perfect with some bbq ribs!!!

i scaled the recipe down and crisped the bacon before adding the onion but, other then that my family said they are the best beans ever.
