I had never made frosting by hand before this one. It turned out perfect and was so simple! I'll never buy chocolate frosting from the store again!!

I had decided to bake a chocolate cake from scratch to bring at a friend's house. The recipe called for canned frosting, which I don't care for. I looked for a recipe in cookbooks and on foodnetwork. I found this recipe and decided to give it a try. It was very easy to make and absolutely delicious. My husband, my children and our friends raved about it. I will definitely make it over and over again when needed.

Very easy and delicious. If you are a real chocolate lover, I recommend adding an extra ounce of bakers chocolate. It tasted like homemade fudge with that extra zap of chocolate. It was a big hit at my son's birthday party.

The title of the recipe is a definate right on...This is the best chocolate frosting I ever made. I did change one thing...I used powered unsweetened chocolate and crisco instead of squares. I highly recommend this frosting.
