My husband is a meat and potato kind of guy. You mention salad and he runs. I made this for him a few weeks ago. We loved it. Since I have made it two more times. It is easy to make and great for the summer. Since there is only two of us when I refreigerate the leftoevers I keep tha lettuce potion on the side to avoid getting it soggy. I highly recommend this recipe. At least try it once!

I made this for the 4th of July. I basically tripled the recipe because there were about 30 people and there was not a scrap left! Several people wanted the recipe and I just told them to go to the Food Network website to get it! We have a family reunion this weekend with some of the same people from the 4th and I was commanded to make it again.

I thought that this was a great recipe in theory. I would prefer it to have a more flavorful base rather than just mayonnaise and sour cream - all I could taste was mayonnaise. It is also extremely fattening! If I were to make it again I would probably add about half of a ranch or italian seasoning packet to the base and use reduced calorie ingredients.

It calls for 2 oz of pasta and a box is 16 oz. I bought double the supplies thinking 2 oz wasn't enough pasta. So i think 2 oz is a typo. It was simple to make and everyone enjoyed it!!!

The recipe shows only 2 oz of cooked pasta -- shouldn't that be 12 oz of pasta, cooked?
And nearly 1000 calories per serving? Is that correct? I could eat a triple bacon cheeseburger for that.
It seems that there are some serious typos in the on-line version of this recipe.

I made this for my family and they loved the BLT concept in a pasta salad. Nice way to get the kids to eat some greens too. I'm making this for a potluck and I'm sure it will be a hit.

We made this for a grad party. It was a hit. Added a bit more mayo for a little more "tang." We did not measure the romaine.....just chopped up two heads. It may have been a bit more than the recipe called for but was not too much for the amount of pasta. Will be making this again.

Needed a pasta salad for a Memorial Day party, so chose this recipe. I really liked the bacon - not something I would think would pair well with the pasta. I did leave out the lettuce - only because I doubled the recipe, and didn't think it would all fit in the bowl. My guests liked it, so I decided to keep the recipe.
