Very, very good. we had a mix of many kinds of apples and had it with vanilla ice cream on the side. Definetly making it again.

LOVE this recipe. Since there was no instructions for the 'cinnamon and sugar mixture' I used 1/2cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 cup tapioca starch (other reviewers mentioned it being watery so I hedged my bets. Because I make this for people with allergies I substituted butter flavoured Crisco for the margarine and gluten free oat flour for the flour. I've made this several times now and it is consistently AWESOME!

This is one of the easiest apple crisps I've ever made. Sure was a big hit at my house!

I love this comfort-food recipe. I used mostly Gala apples with a couple of Granny Smiths and Red Delicious and Fuji varieties. It does take awhile to peel all of the apples, but it's so worth it. I like that it's an easy recipe to commit to memory, too. It has been a hit, even with my finicky eaters.
