The online recipe disagrees with the video in two significant respects: (1 Bobby uses far less than the indicated three cups of apple cider vinegar; and (2 he also uses only a fraction of an onion, not a whole onion as stated online. As a result, using the online recipe yields a glaze that is much too thin. The flavor combinations are wonderful, however, especially when made as Bobby does in the video.

My issue is with cooking the Turkey on the Grill...the Glaze is a great variation on flavor!
Cooking the Turkey on a "GAS GRILL" is pointless! It does not produce any different taste or cooking effect. It is a waste of money since the Gas Grill is far less efficient and uses more energy that cooking it in a conventional oven.
This is just blatant commercialism.

I made this turkey today for Thanksgiving, and it is outstanding. I had a bunch of the glaze left over, and since it has the consistency of relish, that is exactly what we used it for. We garnished the turkey with it, and the flavor is outstanding.
VERY IMPORTANT.
The recipe online has a terrible flaw in it. One of the other posters mentioned that the apple cider vinegar was too overpowering, and made the house stink up.
That's because it doesn't use three cups of Vinegar. It uses at the most a cup or 3/4's of a cup of vinegar.
I have the show recorded on DVR. If you watch him add the vinegar you'll see about two seconds of the new bottle being poored into the pan. There is no way he put in three cups of vinegar.
I used just under a cup, and it was outstanding, and, made the house smell great with all the other flavors.
I give this recipe 5 stars, because it was great even though it was the first time I made it.
Another thing, this method of cooking it over a pan of water also made the turkey ultra-ultra moist. I can't brag on it enough. Just DON'T use 3 cups of vinegar or you'll drown your other flavors.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

This was an excellent recipe and really quite easy. I used a roasting pan with a rack and had to add water often. Also, I added an extra pepper to give it more "bite." If you cook the turkey a day in advance, just reheat with a liberal amount of the glaze, and it will taste like you just carved it.

I happened to catch this episode weeks before the holidays and already knew I would be BBQ'ing the turkey. This recipe gave me a different look for Thanksgiving and it was a huge success. Instead of smelling pumpkin in the kitchen, you smelled the turkey.

I cooked the turkey using the apple-sage glaze and it was absolutely great! I read the other two reviews and the whiner above me blows my mind. I can't believe someone would actually rate a recipe based on what vinegar smells like. You missed out!!

there is something very wrong with this recipe. I think he may have used apple cider rather than apple cider vinegar. I used all 3 cups of apple cider vinegar and it stunk up my whole house. I had to throw the whole thing away.

This was by far the best Thanksgiving meal I've ever cooked... The turkey, squash, polenta & the dressing were unreal. Coming from a long line of excellent Italian cooks... this was cool!!! I need my own show, when I'm not selling real estate. Glad someone got it together with the morel program..
