Oh my goodness--what wonderful, smokey flavors tinged with the tartness of the goat cheese but made all the sweeter with the roasted red peppers. Perfect for my pre-Valentines Dinner for husband and close friends. I will certainly make this delectable dish again!

Absolutely loved the combination of flavors. I'm just learning how to cook, and this recipe involved a lot of prep but was very easy to make, which I appreciated! My boyfriend and I both loved it.

We make this with New Mexican peppers and more cilantro than called for and it's our new favorite. I actually now make 2X as much so my husband can eat the leftovers with a spoon the next day. Yum!!

My girlfriend and I made this with chipotles instead of anchos the first time. Pasillas the second, and finally got our hands on some anchos the last two. It works well with every pepper, but the anchos are the best. I would make this for dinner every night if i could. Love the goat cheese, love the heat, love the steak. My new favorite steak recipe!

It was very eye-opening to taste the combination of chile/cilantro/red pepper salsa with filet mignon. The unusual combination really works in the surprising way. Ususally, filet mignon steaks are paired with more dense flavored sauces, but it was refreshing. Perfect for summer.

I rarely rate recipes, but this one is superb. The Chilis I used were called "California Chilis" but you can recognize them as they are large, purple and have a sort of sweet raisany smell to them. I tend to think various peppers would work. This was AWESOME, I had trouble getting my husband to sit down to eat, thought he was going to eat it all standing at the sink. The flavors would probably work with a good rib eye or other steak as well. Try it!!!!!!

Well, I saw the show, and thought the recipe looked great. Two major problems:
My wife doesn't typically eat red meat and my 2 and 4 year-olds gravitate towards mac 'n cheese and hotdogs.
Oh well, I made it anyway, sauteing the steaks in the pan (per the show instead of grilling. My family gave me strange looks when I came upstairs with the Mapp Gas Torch for melting the cheese. End result: They all loved it!

This dish really delivers on Flay's typically bold flavors in a big way. The sauce is great as is, but can be easily spiced up a bit with the inclusion of a dried habenero. The goat cheese richness cuts the spice perfectly. This kind of food is hard to find in England... glad I was able to get my hands on good dried chiles to see this one through. Spectacular.
