Good idea for a different way to make turkey. Because pomegranate molasses is not an easy to find item include how to make it. I found a recipe on the web that worked out well made with pom ,sugar and lemon juice.
4 cups pom
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c fresh lemon juice
cook over medium heat until reduce by half

I thought that this recipe contains to much horseradish. It really did not have a good balance to it. My guests enjoyed it, but I did not like it. Plus I had to order the pomegranite molasses from Amazon.com and ended up spending almost $20.00 when shipping was added. Oh well, better luck next year!!!

This was my first time to make a turkey and it was wonderful. I couldn't have chosen a better recipe, my family loved it so much. My husband made the pomegranate molasses and prepared the fresh horseradish for me ahead of time. Other than that it wasn't a time consuming or difficult process. If you want your molasses thicker, just cook it down more and also use fresh horseradish instead of the cream. Wonderful recipe!!!

I'll be making Bobby's turkey this Thanksgiving. Yes, it was a challenge to find the Pomegranate Molasses - even in specialty stores! Other than online (Amazon, Spice House, I found it at Whole Foods Market in the syrup section - better value than online, too! I'm sure this turkey's going to be great. Thanks, Bobby! My husband and I love "Throwdown." Love how honest Stephanie and Miriam are with your versions.

This has been the best turkey that I have ever made ,and keep getting requests to make it. The only thing different is when I am making the homemade pomegranate mollasses, I add mango to it to offset the tart with a little sweetness, since we add a little heat with the horserashish cream later. This combination with the turkey is absolutely wonderful, and I always want to add my own flare to my cooking. My boyfriend has been begging me to make this for him for the last 6 months and he says that he can not wait till Thanksgiving when I'm making it again. I'm going to try to pair it up with Rachel Rays Zuccini Pumkin Muffin Stuffin and add my own flare to that as well.

If you make your own pomegranate molasses, don't use regular molasses to thicken it up. You'll ruin the taste. Making pomegranate molasses is similar to making a simple syrup, with the addition of lemon juice at the end, so just vary your sugar and pomegranate juice ratio until you hit the right consistency. I use a 4-1 (juice to sugar ratio.
You can order pomegranate molasses from Amazon.com.

I have not yet tried this recipe but am making it this week for my thanksgiving dinner and I am positive it will be a hit! I too could not find the pomegranate molasses and had to look up a recipe online, i cooked it for an hour and a half and it still was not as thick as i thought it should be but i'll give you all a little hint...i bought a bottle of regular molasses for back up and all i had to do was pour a small amount into the pan with the pomegranate mixture and the consistancy became beautiful, however we have to remember this is a glaze and glazes arent suppose to be thick...Bobby thankyou so much for sharing this recipes with us...my mouth watered when i saw it and i know its gonna be great!!
