The best mac and cheese ever! My husband said from now on he only wants me to make mac and cheese following this recipe or else he isn't going to eat it. I substituted turkey bacon for the pancetta but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. It was easy to make and oh so good.

My husband made this recipe for our Valentine's Day party last weekend. We had 12 guests in all and everyone was RANTING & RAVING about this dish! We served it as a side dish along with steak & lobster. We wound up with SO much leftover! However, I've had several people ask for the recipe & I just laugh & direct them to your site. I agree that it's a little pricey for an everyday dinner, but it was absolutely perfect for our party. Thanks for sharing!!

A delicious dinner, the proportions seem like they are a little off. I spent alot of money on cheese, and I did not need all of it. Remember the measurements of cheese change after grated, and it seems like you could have had 1 1/2 boxes of noodles. Also we have 4 hearty eaters, we had a half of a pan left over, and we were stuffed. I served it with a side of asparagus. Probably could have served 6-8.

Great recipe! (Yes, it was a little on the expensive side, though. I wasn't wearing my glasses when I was reading my list in the store and bought prosciutto instead of pancetta by mistake, but I used it and it was still a good as ever.

Made a close version for 30 people, and the results are in. Way GOOD! Thanks for the direction. Since I trippled the recipe, I used lesser cheeses and a few blends (9 types in all. I would have used sharper cheeses, and more herbs in the future.
