I make the meatballs and my husband makes the sauce and our guests love it!

This is good old comfort food. I'd grown up on spaghetti and meatballs, but never made them myself, so quick and easy.

These were some of the best meatballs I have had. I think the veal made them extra tender and they melted in our mouth!

I used one 28 oz of diced tomato from a can and substituted with the other 28 oz using my own fresh tomato from my garden. the flavor of the vine ripen fresh tomato really made this sauce flavorful and delicious. the meatballs were excellent. plenty of left over for next day meal.

I thought this was very bland and unexciting. There was no kick to it and it was a lot of work for little payback

I liked the consistency of the meatballs. They held together nicely without being too firm. I was disappointed in the lack of intensity of flavour howe er. Expected there to be more "excitement" to the taste. Will remember the binding factor/proportion, but won't keep the whole recipe in my repetoire.

I first cooked this for my boyfriend and he LOVED it. I'm young and just really starting to cook, so I worry about messing things up at times. This recipe was so simple that it didn't allow for any mistakes. The only thing I do differently than the recipe is that I add a pinch or two of sugar to the sauce to tone down the strength of the tomatoes. Other than that the entire recipe is amazing.

I make a double batch. One for meatloaf and one for meatballs. I substitute the ground pork for italian sausage meat for added flavor
