I served this at a baby shower, and it was a huge hit. My husband loved the leftovers as well! I did have to cook it longer than the recipe indicates. I ended up cooking it for about an hour.

I prepared this recipe for our Easter brunch and everyone loved it and is dying for the recipe. I really recommend this because it was so easy and delicious!

The only thing I would say is if you are entertaining a small group you may want to use half the quantity on each ingredient, it made a huge portion.

    Enjoy!

OK here we are an hour after the casserole was supposed to be done and it still isn't. The egg mix has been in the oven for close to 1 1/2 hours and is still not done. I sure am glad I decided to make this ahead of time and not in the morning before it goes to work. Hope it is worth the wait.

Made this for 20 men and their sons at our monthly men's church breakfast meeting. Everyone loved it. Needs to cook longer than recipe indicates. Just watch it. 10-15 minutes should do it depending on your oven. I just waited until the top started to get a nice light brown. Simple to prepare. Served with roasted herb potatoes. That was simple.

This recipe does not specify a size pan or whether to cover or not cover while cooking. Granted I am not a great cook but did not expect to cook this for an hour in the oven and then 20 minuted in the microwave oven before it was done. I guess I should have used a much larger dish, I used an 11" x 9" pyrex casserole dish. I fixed it for Christmas Brunch and was supposed to be serving food at 11:00, we ate at noon and all other dishes were ice cold! It's a good thing I have an understanding family! When it was finally done it tasted quite good. If you make this recipe use a very wide and long dish and consider covering it for at least part of the cooking time. PS - if it is still runny in the middle - it is not done - keep cooking.

This was fabulous BUT like many others, I found the cooking time to be about 45 minutes. I also don't think there are enough ingredients for the amount of liquid (eggs, sour cream and juicy veg so I made some changes which came out so beautifully I'll make this MANY times.

16 oz mushrooms (instead of 10
16 oz of each sausage instead of 12 ea (which allows you to nibble without guilt!!
I'd use a couple of zucchini (though I did use asparagus in mine

Sweat onions and saute all veg though for just a few minutes; don't try and cook them thoroughly.

American cheese is fine but a combo of gouda and emmenthaler was MUCH better.

Add about 1/4 to 1/3 cup plain bread crumbs.

Makes 8 generous servings. You could stretch to 10 if you have side dishes.

We were practically fighting over the crumbs in the pan.

My family loved this, and it was so easy to make. I loved being able to get it ready the nite before and just popping it in the oven in the am.

I made this for a snowmobile trip and needed something that traveled and reheated well. I precooked and reheated on low heat and this was a really good recipe. Every one really liked it, and it was super tasty!!
