Tweaked the process a bit: axed the pickles, added a little mango juice to the marinade, and cooked them in a pan (small apartment=no grill. Turned out wonderfully.

I actually have a few more chops marinated up right now for tonight's meal.

Really good! We messed up and added all of the liquid to the marinade. When it was time to make the sauce we brought the left over marinade to a boil, with all of the garlic in it, then added the herbs. Next time, I'm going to try it with chicken beasts.

This was amazing! I love Cuban pork sandwiches yet now my family is on a NO CARB (poison diet so we don't eat them anymore. When Bobby Flay made this recipe the other day I thought it could be a suitable replacement for my favorite sandwich. Not only was it a replacement it was better than the original. I made it exactly as the recipe stated and I served some yellow mustard for dipping on the side. This is an extraordinary recipe that I will keep for wowing guests. THANKS!!!

I was very excited to make this since I had a fantastic cuban dish at a restaurant in DC a few weeks back. I don't get it. All of the ingredients are stellar and I marinated for over an hour but the pork lacked flavor. I served it with the grilled corn salad from the same episode which was beyond wonderful! I added a chopped roma tomato and a bit of diced red onion. But the ancho pepper really is the star. As far as the pork, eh....I'll keep working on it. Not a fave from BF. And that's a rarity.

I made these into sandwiches for some friends. I really pounded the meat thin and put them on sourdough bread slices I had toasted on the grill. They loved them! Make sure you use a good mustard, and cold beer!

I tried this recipe and it was absolutely excellent and I highly recommend it. I didn't change a thing except that I used an indoor grill pan instead of grilling it outside and it came out great. The servings are huge! You can easily serve two people with one of them. You really must try this one!
