For a single guy...I really liked this dish. It's great for a dinner date because you feel somewhat of a "chef" and not just "cooking something to eat". Surprisingly enough, the wine, and the vinegar (added at the end of the cooking time melded with the other sauce ingredients very well. Loved the amount of mushrooms in the dish but I think I'll slice them next time as opposed to chopping for presentation wise. And as a matter of preference, I would make it just a bit more spicy.

This was great. The family loved it and the wife told me to add it to my collection of recipes that I cook from :. Pretty easy and just great really good flavor. I did thicken up the sauce a bit with a little bit of cream and flour and happy I did

Love, love, love this recipe. Best chicken cacciatore recipe ever. Although, a little time consuming, well worth it. Has some spice to it but we liked it. There are so many delicious layers of flavor in this dish.

I have to tell you that this dish is to die for. I made this dish for my husband and my grandson.
They raved about it and my husband said anyone would pay $30.00 for this dish. My husband went on to say he wants me to make it for company that we invite over. I felt really good that they loved it. five star rating for sure. Thank you Bobby

(found this draft of a review from a while ago - posting it now: Absolutely delicious. Layer upon layer of flavors, perfect amount of subtle heat, and man did the house smell good! I forgot to add the honey right at the end like I hear he did on the show, but I plan on doing that when I heat up the leftovers tonight. Five stars for delicious home-cooked comfort food!

I love the bite of the peppers in this dish. I have an electric stove and it is hard to control the heat, but the mushrooms when golden browned are so wonderful. I used a sweeter wine than called for and didn't have the proper amount of basil, but still this dish is deeeelish!

I made this for my boyfriend whom is indian. He and I loved the spiciness of the crushed red pepper and jalepeno. I used a can of balsamic, basil and garlic seasoned diced tomatoes which gave it extra flavor. I dont suggest using less balsamic vinegar. I also thicken the sauce up with some corn starch because it is a little thin. I would recommend this to anyone who isn't afraid of a little spice and flavor!
