Is this the exact recipe that Bobby used on the show, because I seem to remember him specifically mentioning that he added honey, which isn't in this recipe.

I made this for my girlfriend this weekend. She packed up all the leftovers to take home - it was that good.

I added some dutch oven bread as a side and meal was complete.
I will definitely be making this again.

This is a great recipe; smells good while it's cooking, tastes great when you eat it, and reheats brilliantly. It's really flexible, too. Don't have capers? Skip it. Like a little less spice? Eliminate the red pepper or jalapeno. No criminis? Button mushrooms will work just fine. And btw, I always recommend reading the reviews for any FN recipe--your peers will generally figure out where the trouble areas are. It's one of the best things about the site!

I don't ever post a review about recipes that I haved used on the FN website. However, I decided to make an exception about this one. This dish was one of the best Cacciatore's I have ever made or had. First of all, the smells that emenated from the pot to fill my home were incredible. Secondly, the taste was outstanding! I had to put it on the boil earlier, but I think that just made the sauce more delectible. Next time, I will serve it over polenta so I can soak up as much sauce as possible, this time, we used nice bread to do the dipping. As usual, Bobby is the master!

Loved this version of Chicken Cacciatore! So many flavors come together in this dish. For those who found the sauce too watery, you should increase the time needed to thicken at the end. Don't go by what the recipe says. Mushrooms
have a lot of water in them too, so cook them a little longer than was suggested.
I used three bone-in chicken breasts (fits in pan nicely and removed cooked chicken from bone. Also substitued Angel Hair pasta because its much lighter.
Did not know about the honey.Turned out great!!

Bobby should have just used Emerils recipe if he wanted to win.

Our daughters (15, 12, and 10 made this for us on our anniversary. While the oldest did the cutting, the younger stirred and measured. It was absolutely delicious!!!

I agree with one of the other reviewers that this was a lot of work and not much flavor on the inside of the kitchen. I was very dissapointed with the sauce. It was very watery. I had to add a little heavy whipping cream and some flour in order to make it at least a little thicker-and it was still thin!!! I was not happy with this recipe overall. The only thing that I liked was the flavor of the sauce, but it just wasn't thick enough. I would have added the tomatoes without the water if I had known how watery it was giong to be. I liked the spicy flavor mixed in. I wish I would have known about the honey, as it was a little too hot, but I added some sugar which took a little away.

Therefore: I took one star away for the lengthy cooking time, 1 star away for the thinness of the sauce and another for having to having to add additional ingredients to even make this dish work.

    Not happy! :(

Lots of effort, very little flavor. I followed the recipe exactly and was just not excited or impressed. What a disappointment after spending an hour over a hot stove and wasting tons of great veggies...
