I've been searching for the best Chicken Cacciatore recipe for quite sometime. And, thus far, I've made the "healthy version" from the foodnetwork website posted by a different chef. My first try with the healthier version turned out okay but BOBBY's recipe WINS the award! It is packed with a full body of flavors and the sauce is just unbelievably delicious. The combo of red & yellow peppers, onion, cremini mushrooms, the herbs, garlic, wine, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar and the last touch of basil made it a well-rounded dish. Moreover, it is very easy to make! "Bobby, you are a ROCK STAR!" Bobby's creations may not always be easy to make but, they sure always come out "OUTSTANDING!" Happy Eating!

Easy, delicious, flavorful. Pepper gave a nice, very subtle heat. Not at all overpowering or hot. I think the balsamic has a key role in the flavor and a little extra effort to make sure you have a great tasting vinegar in your pantry will boost your results.

it was really good. i didnt add the jalepeno and i added crushed tomatoes instead of diced. i thought it was amazing. i didnt try the honey, but that probably would have been good. i added more rosemary that was called for, as well as more basil. it turned out very well. everyone liked it and i definitely will make it again.

A bit labor intensive but one of the most flavorful recipes, if not the most flavorful, I've pulled off Food Network. I do not give out 5's regularly, but this deserves it. It has layers of flavor that make it special.

I made both recipes from the throwdown, and Bobby's recipe beat Keith's hands down. Talk about flavor and texture!! This recipe will leave you wanting more. I too found Keith Young's recipe bland and missing flavor. This recipe has made it into the meal rotation in my house. Bobby, your flare for taking a traditional dish and turning it into a masterpiece is truely a talent.

I made both recipes from this Throwdown Episode. While Keith Young's recipe looked so hearty and comforting, we found it to be quite bland. However, this recipe was sooo delicious! I only used chicken thighs. I omitted the jalapenos and used capers instead of balsamic vinegar. I followed the suggestions by others and finished the dish off with a squeeze of honey. Oh my gosh.... sooo good!

Very tasty! I did add some honey, like others said and I agree, smooths the taste. I did not add Jalepeno. Make sure when cutting onions and peppers, make them small. Overall, I will make it again!

I made this dish for the first time ever tonight. I thought the directions were easy to understand, and easy to do. My sweetheart was was impressed wth it in every way. Thank you for giving me another way to please her. I should also mention that while there were 4 different recipies offered, I chose to make Bobby's because of the trust and respect I have for him.

It was very good. The chicken was tender and the sauce was pretty good though mine came out a little too watery. Next time, I won't add so many tomatoes.
