Made this for 13 firefighters on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Followed the recipe to the letter. It turned out great and we've already planned on do it again, this time in sandwiches.

The only thing I change is using buttermilk instead of egg wash. Eddies fried green tomatoes are also the Real Deal! True Texas cooking at it's best!

I tried this recipe today and it was horrible!!!! maybe using a flour mixture is a staple in the south but we, in the north like bread crumbs. This was the most distasteful thing I have ever tasted. I have made breaded steak before and it was delicious, but just seasoning flour and using eggs was awful. Never again!!!

the recipe for the chicken fried steak was good and i would imagine the recipe for the potatoes is good too. How many pounds of potatoes are you really suppose to use? One can not be right.

This recipe for one was easy to do. It was very taste and something both my children and husband enjoyed. I was happy to make in such a short time it was well rewarded. Thank you!

My husband said he was eating "manly food"! It was crispy, with good flavor, but too greasy to eat often, and a huge mess in the kitchen.
