Really good flavors here. We varied this recipe & made "Chicken Fried Chicken" instead of Steak. It was very good & probably not as heavy a meal as steak. And although this took longer to prepare than I anticipated, it wasn't difficult & was well worth the effort! We left out the bacon, but really peppered up the white gravy & that worked too. Next time - & there will definitely be a next time - we are going to go for a little more "heat" in the dredge & the gravy.

I've never tried chicken fried steak. White gravy was just not appealing to me but this was GREAT. This is a real, stick to your ribs food---perfect for a day like today when it's freezing outside, and we're all in watching some football. We will definately make this again!

I tried this recipe for my son and his family and everybody love it. The crust is light and flavorful. Even my husband ate the crust and he usually peels it off! I will be saving and using this recipe again.

Tasted decent, but it's definitely a very heavy meal. You want to eat this when you're really hungry, in the dead of winter when you want a nice, hearty meal.
