nope, it did not worked for me, the original has the real taste of Mexico....you know that worst part of making this recipe its that its has nothing from original posole recipe,( i agree with the hominy this is a dish that is one of the most popular and delicious of Mexico,.....its a shame to make a bad imitation of it and lose the opportunity to try the real thing.....This is an very SUNDAY dish at my house with my family....

I've eaten a lot of menudo and posole and must say, this has been the easiest and favorite so far. I actually use garbanzo beans instead of hominy.

I was looking for a good chicken stock recipe, and ended up making the posole soup with it. LOVE IT! It passed the test of my four boys with flying colors. Thanks Bobby!

Bobby should not call this recipe Posole I take offense to this. Posole is a very popular soup in Mexico and it has never been made with these ingredients. The only thing this recipe has of the original recipe is the hominy that does not make it a Posole. Its almost grose

Didn't have the 4 lbs of bones for stock nor the time to carefully watch over it. Bought two bone in breasts with wings, removed the skin, placed them with the remaining stock ingredients in a slow cooker on low before I left for work. Once home, I microwaved water in my 4 cup Pryrex, threw the mushrooms and chilies in. Removed the chicken, strained the stock and put the stock back in crockpot on high. I figured being on low all day the stock probably already reduced some. By the time I had the chicken, chilies and mushrooms chopped, I considered the stock ready. If had the bones and it was a weekend, I would have tried the method given but I think this worked just as well and it allows this to be a work night supper.

I love Menudo so thought this would be similar...only as far as the hominy! my favorite part any way. I made my own broth using the chicke breasts and used cremini mushrooms (cheaper My whole family, including the 7 year old grandson, enjoyed the soup. Some added more hot sauce but most thought it was just right the way it was. I certainly will make this again and again. You rock, Bobby Flay

Pozole (from Spanish pozole, from Nahuatl potzolli; variant spellings: posole, pozole, pozolli.

So it's not your recipe. Some of us don't eat pork. Get over it.

1st thing Merry Christmas!! Normally I make my Posole with Pork. Wanted to try somethin different. Was very happy with the results. The Grandkids liked it better. Not to spicy just right for the little ones. We used Red and Green Christmas Tortilla Chips. Very colorful. We've had quite a bit of cold weather this year in Texas. I will make this again on a regular basis.
